Some finished items this afternoon;

Vogue Wardrobe pattern 8799, skirt D with nice pleats on the back , but a tad high on the waist. I understand that this is my natural waist but I think it's seen better days. I'm looking for the illusive skirt pattern that does not ride under rib cages but is naturally just on or below belly button ... still trying to work out what this style would be called. Still have to join the back with some clips. I fell in love with Sarah Fielke quilting fabric and thought I'd give it a go.http://www.sarahfielke.com

Hope I'll wear it. Next I finished off Butterick 4461 - easy and quick but this time it sits better on the waist - no waistband added I just lined and turned lining to inside. It will be interesting to see how this wears and I used a crepe as the lining, don't know if you are supposed to do this will have to see how it wears.  The material is from Reverse garbage in Marrickville.

Next I Finished of a Kwik Sew 3691 Top. I have never used Kwik Sew patterns before but was very impressed with the quality of the pattern paper and the booklet of instructions. I used some remnant reverse garbage fabric to give it a go. I have later looked to see what other thought of this top and many comments include the advice that if you are fuller in the best don't go for big neck tucks as it makes you look bigger. Yes I can see this now but I may do this one again in a thicker fabric less flowy like this fabric which was such a light cotton - like a gauze.
